Eric's 2014 Movie List

I tried really hard not to put another Wes Anderson film at the top of my list, but failed. He's a master at work and nothing compares to his film making for me. I loved Boyhood, but in the end it's still just seemed like a movie to me. The Grand Budapest Hotel is a work of art. Sadly, I can say I loved only the top two or three movies on my list this year, but really liked the top 30 or so. So, though it might seem like a down year for movies, the depth of field was really impressive in my mind. Additionally, I can honestly say I only disliked the last two films on my list. Mike and I disagree on The Congress...he had it ranked highly last year when he saw it. I was really into it up until a certain point, but then it went off the rails...if you've seen it you might be able to guess where that point is.
