Eric's 2019 movie list

For once, what I consider the best movie is also my favorite...The Irishman. I know Parasite is the indie darling and it's a great film, but I just didn't *love* it the way everyone else did. The Nightingale from Babodook director Jennifer Kent is this year's most under-seen picture and contains the first film moment in years that brought me out of my seat. I won't spoil it here, though. Overall, a really great year for film. I haven't seen Little Women, Judy, Klaus, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Gloria Bell, Ad Astra, Bombshell, or A Hidden Life so I will update the list as I see them.
